A provocative look at what school could really be in the AI age

Picture this: The student brings their “intellectual vibrator” — ChatGPT — and generates a perfectly crafted essay. The teacher pulls out their “didactic flashlight” — another LLM — and evaluates the work.

The machines perform the academic act. The text gets written, the text gets graded. And no human ever really touches the idea behind it.

What a liberation!

What are teachers and students freed from?

From the performance of schooling. From pretending that this dance of essay-writing and grading has anything to do with learning or teaching. They’re freed from:

- Rigid rituals
- Assessment anxiety
- The illusion that comma placement equals education
- Mechanical grinding through tasks

The academic machinery is handled by machines.

But what’s left then?

A possibility. A real conversation.

Not about comma rules or whether ChatGPT fabricated a source, but about the IDEA behind the project. About the WHY behind the topic choice. About what it means to the student. About what it triggers in the teacher. About what actually matters.

The revolution lies in the human

After 12+ years as a teacher, I’ve experienced it myself: We’ve lost ourselves in a system that prioritizes compliance over creativity. Assessment over relationship. Performance over personality.

Maybe the AI age is our first real chance in a long time to actually speak again. Let the machines handle the mechanical work while we finally get to ask:

“Who are you, really?”
“What moves you?”
“How do you see the world?”
“What do you want to create?”

The future of education is radically human

While AI takes over routine tasks, we can finally focus on what machines will never become:

- Igniting genuine curiosity🔥
- Shaping courageous hearts❤️
- Building authentic relationships 🤝
- Turning dreams into reality ✨

My call to all education rebels:

Let’s create schools that don’t suffocate but ignite. Places where curiosity isn’t an obligation but a natural force. Where kids don’t sink into apathy but radiate joy energy — alive, creative, and free.

It’s time to bid farewell to the 200-year-old system and finally build what our world needs: Adaptive Learning Ecosystems for an unpredictable future.
