I had the opportunity to speak with a teacher from Newcastle, England and learn about her teaching styles! What a neat experience learning the differences and similarities in education across the world! I even got to see pictures of her classroom!
My PLC is doing an awesome job leading a breakout session about Special Ed and Gifted Ed! Students are engaged in a fun Kahoot about myths and truths with Special Ed and Gifted Ed. #yesyoucanteach
The classroom should be a positive environment! @ASCD discusses “A positive environment is one in which students feel a sense of belonging, trust others, and feel encouraged to tackle challenges, take risks, and ask questions.” Loved the article! https://t.co/banfEryh8t
I believe all students want to be successful. I believe teachers who view themselves as the most important variable in the classroom have the biggest impact. I believe teachers are stronger when they collaborate. I believe administrators should support and reinforce the process.
@SteeleThoughts I agree!! Thank you for your input on education and what it means to really be a teacher! I look forward to @SteeleThoughts tweets everyday!
Today @MsKerkvliet and I taught a conjoined lesson on unit conversions!! We can’t wait to have our fourth graders do more hands on activities with measurement next week for our other lessons!!
“You matter and what you have to offer the world matters.” This is my cooperating teacher’s favorite quote, and it has stuck with me! Be an inspiration today and everyday!!
