Today is @GLSEN's #DayOfSilence—a call to action to create more inclusive school communities for queer youth. We are proud of those participating and hopeful that every educator will consider ways to foster true inclusion. Consider these practices.

dear educators,
make sure you make boundaries at the start of the year. i use to just answer emails at all hours of the night because i was trying to be super man. won't be doing it this year. personal opinion. do what ya need to stay mentally okay for the year.
Thinking I’m one of the few teachers incredibly excited for the school year. My first year (last year) was so challenging, but gave me the mindset that I can do anything!! So, I am approaching this year with the expectation it won’t be perfect and the ability to go with the flow.
Tomorrow we're taking a pause in distance learning in my class. No new assignments, they'll be completing unfinished assignments from this week. I'll be on meet for support. The kids need it, I need it.
@allison_krasnow And as distance learning continues I’m thinking about investigating them uploading pictures they take with hand written work into their slides 2/2
@allison_krasnow That’s where I’ve had to be creative and use a lot of screenshots!! on Friday we worked on exponent rules, so I made a matching activity using screenshots of exponent expressions and their simplified answers to take away the need for the kids to type equations/math 1/2
