Nat'l & int'l interviews about that viral moment a week ago have been great. But here is one that was broadcast only in Miami yesterday which I thought was also quite good, because I'm being interviewed by someone that knows me so very well: @JackieNBC6 👇🏼 https://t.co/j0oqcU9Di9
“The reaction overwhelmingly has been of support. That ranges from hugs to ‘You represent me. This is how I've been feeling for so long. I'm glad you let it out because I feel that I can let it out'." in @people https://t.co/pkugYucvzS
"This kind of fear is entirely useful—there are, I have no doubt, people who left their homes and drove north towards Georgia after hearing the break in Morales’ voice. He saved lives." — @billmckibben in The Crucial Years blog https://t.co/SmYPoRZG0b
And this last one in @USATODAY which really struck a chord with me: "Not only do we trust Morales, we also get the sense that he sees what we're going through. We're not ignored. He may not know us, but he sees us." https://t.co/fMhRSZ1iAo 7/7 fin
“I’ve seen the reactions of climate dismissives for many, many years, and it’s become particularly vitriolic in the last year or two, especially on X” in @RollingStone https://t.co/bZ7OGL7RsG

Thank you, John Morales 🏆
Warm ocean waters due to human-caused climate change helped fuel Hurricane #Milton to become a powerful Category 5 storm.
Sea surface temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico were well above average for this time of year as Milton churned toward Florida. https://t.co/p4WvGdpcWE
@JohnMoralesTV John, your 'climate change' message just reached rapid intensification 🌎worldwide w' your honest H Milton message broadcasted. You are heard🌍🌎 these storms grow intensely w' people's tears from loss of property/life, maybe change begins now, for better🤞
@JohnMoralesTV@BMcNoldy You forecasted LAST Sunday Milton's landfall could be Cat3, despite later reaching 180 mph + huge drop in MBs +rapid intensifications -despite all, it landed as a Cat3, still a dangerous storm, but you truly must see so much, communities so grateful 4 ur expertise/ care.🌀
@JohnMoralesTV@NWS Your reports were acutely able to localize such weather events, at least more localized than 'there is a tornado somewhere across two counties, find shelter', keeping people alarmed not informed :(
@JohnMoralesTV@NWS Thanks, John, I'm not ignoring the many Broward tornado warnings right now, but our local tv stations sure are ignoring it. Times have changed big time since you were on-air w' huge storms approached, I dearly relied on your NBC6 reports, especially tornados with a hurricane :(
Intensity trends in Milton are going in the wrong direction. Remotely-measured wind speed 165+ knots (190 mph) measured around 6:20 pm EDT by @53rdWRS. The stronger #Milton gets tonight, the more it will take on Wednesday to bring the intensity down to the NHC prediction of Cat 3
