Honoured to have the support of Angelo Tocco, CLC Equity Vice-President for Workers with Disabilities. The TSU Election is on May 27, see voting instructions below: #ForwardTogether#TeachersFirst
Ontario doesn’t need to “wait until the next election” to speak up.
People are angry for a reason.
Doug Ford’s Ontario has become a province of scandals, secrecy, privatization, and broken public trust.
The Greenbelt scandal. The Ontario Place/Therme spa deal. The Science Centre fiasco. The private jet controversy. The RCMP investigation.
And now attacks on transparency itself.
This government weakened public access to information and transparency protections, making it harder for journalists and the public to hold politicians accountable. Democracy depends on openness not secrecy.
Meanwhile:
🏥 Public health care is being privatized while ERs close and hallway medicine worsens. 📚 Public education is overcrowded and underfunded. 🏠 Housing is unaffordable while homelessness explodes. 💊 ODSP recipients are being left in poverty. 👩⚕️ Nurses, teachers, and frontline workers are burned out and ignored. 🛣 Developers and insiders keep getting special treatment.
Ontario deserves leadership that puts people before political insiders, developers, and backroom deals.
Enough is enough.

Ontario students with disabilities are being failed by Doug Ford's government.
School boards are required by law to submit special education plans every year.
74% of the plans submitted for 2025–26 flagged serious issues that required Ministry action.
There's no evidence the Minister of Education even looked at them.
The government isn't funding special education based on student need. Students are waiting over a year for assessments. Kids are being sent home because schools can't support them.
This is a total failure.
Lecce tabled "realestate" bill 98 to a standing ovation: trustees, TDSB Director fired & 8 supervisors appt.
Bill 98:
➡️The words “reading,” “writing,” & “math” featured only twice
➡️“literacy” appears once
➡️“property” 21 times.
➡️“sale” 11 times
➡️The word “lease” 15 times
Don't be fooled. Ford's flashy announcements hide nearly $150M in education cuts.
Eight years in, class sizes have ballooned, programs have been slashed and the special education funding shortfall keeps growing.
If Doug Ford keeps making cuts what will be left of our schools?

"On Monday, Ford confirmed the government was still “discussing” whether or not to get rid of trustees, offering no details of what those conversations entailed. Education Minister Paul Calandra has indicated he’s keen to majorly overhaul school boards without yet tabling legislation." Calandra stated that removing Ontario English public trustees in #onted can be done with a simple act by the stroke of his pen. WATCH VIDEO https://t.co/7KoSZ37C8a
This week at Queen's Park, the government refused to divulge how much the new Protect Ontario commercial - which ran during the Super Bowl - cost taxpayers.
Opposition parties say not all the claims made in the commercial are true.

#CatholicTeachers are paying out of pocket to buy paper for photocopies, because schools don’t have textbooks or basic school supplies.
- @WaterlooOECTA Unit President David Geraghty asks the govt where the so-called “historic investment” in #OntEd is, as it's not in classrooms.
Little Jamaica has been saddled with years of construction and delays connected to the Crosstown LRT. Shauna Hunt is measuring the pulse of businesses along Eglinton West, where hundreds of shops have been shuttered.

NEW - Liberal MPP’s Adil Shamji and Andrea Hazell are up talking about the still not open Eglinton Crosstown LRT, asking for the following:
“Launch a public inquiry into its mismanaged construction. Compensate businesses and communities who suffered from delays and congestion.
Ensure mistakes made during the bungled launch of the Finch West LRT do not happen again”
The Ford government tells us issues plaguing the Finch West LRT won’t carry over to the Eglinton Crosstown, arguing its track configuration is different.
Even when Line 5 does open, it won’t be cause for celebration say the Ontario Liberals, who are calling for a public inquiry
