Thank you to everyone who listened and participated in my presentation about equity and inclusion, as well as building acceptance towards the LGBTQ+ community.
I joined @MsPYeung in supervising @DSC_EDU's LGBTQ+ Alliance Club. Our Ss took the initiative to raise awareness for Transgender Day of Remembrance. In addition, they organized a nail polish and makeup event, to raise funds for the charity Gender Empowerment.
No better way to learn about culture than through food. HFC3M students went on a food tour to learn about the history, social issues and delicious dishes in Sham Shui Po.
Having a blast in @MsPYeung's #PDDSC23 session making No Chill Chocolate Chip Cookies! Ms Yeung teaches students food & culture by bringing authentic culinary experiences to her classroom every day!
Students at Culinary Camp had the opportunity to visit Pots n Pans’ rooftop garden. We also saved our food scraps from our japchae and added it to the compost, which will later be used to fertilize the plants! #ECOxDSC#calltoearth#DSC_HK#circleoflife#zerowaste
When @HendrickseEDU @DustinOrser and I decided to bring @oculus VR to @DSC_EDU it was really important that students could create their own VR content. Today, with the help of @MsPYeung we use a 360 camera to film scenes, inject metadata and stream the experience on the headset!
We have just finished the recording of The Wizard of Oz. Our students did an amazing job all the way through from preparation to the actual performance!
The show will go live on Broadway on Demand this weekend May 21 – 24. #thearts#DramaAlert
It's today! We are finally filming the drama production. The show will actually go live on Broadway On Demand on Friday, May 21st at 12AM HKT. #DSC#Drama#DSCSDramaClub
Edpuzzle has made distant learning so much easier. My ELLs can listen to the video at their own pace, and they can check their understanding by completing comprehension questions. Sooo in love with it! #TELLPart2#OnlineLearning#Edpuzzle
P1: To improve ELLs literacy, we must show students what "good readers do." According to Rachael Gabriel and Christopher Wenz, teachers can "make difficult texts more comprehensible by teaching general strategies" (2017).
