So proud of my @ChurchillRoadES 6th graders graduating today!!! 💙💛 The 6th grade team did an incredible job with the virtual ceremony. Best of luck and congratulations to the CRS Class of 2021!
Very excited to be celebrating Autism Awareness Week at CRS! We will be participating in spirit week days AND engaging in lessons about autism to spread awareness and promote acceptance. 🌈#autismawareness
We did an FCPS SEL lesson for morning meeting today. Student made a Pyramid of Supports. The amount of students who wrote classmates' names in the "School Support" section got me. We DO have a classroom community in the virtual setting and I'm so proud!
Poetry at the Super Bowl is a feat for art & our country, because it means we’re thinking imaginatively about human connection even when we feel siloed. I’ll honor 3 heroes who exemplify the best of this effort. Here’s to them, to poetry, & to a #SuperBowl like no other 💛
Day 1 of our 28 Days of Equity Awareness Project - check out our list of readings, videos & podcasts. Every Friday, we'll hold Friday Reflections lunch discussions at noon, providing a safe space for reflection on the material. RSVP on our website. https://t.co/tdUoLN4jx8
The day is finally here. I hope you’ll join me for a special live broadcast of the Inauguration made especially for students and families. Tune in now! https://t.co/VR6LAEZSyx
I have a message for all the little girls and boys out there who dream of growing up to be superheroes: Superheroes walk among us.
They’re teachers, doctors, scientists, vaccine researchers—and you can grow up to be like them too.
While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last—because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.
We are so excited about having a friend and colleague in the White House with @DrBiden, an educator and longtime NEA member, as First Lady! A compassionate leader, she is ready to listen and prioritize educators’ needs at the federal level and we can't wait to partner with her!
Happy Halloween! We had SO much fun doing a candy corn experiment with the entire 2nd grade, led by @sfinger21! What happens when you put candy corn in cold water, hot water, vinegar, and seltzer water?🤔🎃

We celebrated Winston Wednesday during Morning Meeting today! I loved seeing all of the school spirit AND hearing all of the responses to our share. 💙

Star of the Week just got so much cooler! So proud of my second grader for making this awesome Google Slides presentation, using Google Meet tools to share his screen, all while giving a great oral presentation. #endlesspossibilities#virtuallearning
Loving our new addition of Closing Circle in our second grade schedule! My students had so much fun with this celebration song - we all turned on our mics to sing together as a classroom community! 😊
