@hollieteach I burned through nearly 9 yr’s-worth of accrued leave to ensure I was getting paid during my mat leave— HR joked “only 3 months? You don’t want more?” Can’t ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Now I’m showing up sick to save what I have for if my kid gets sick. It’s not helping morale, that’s for sure.

@MrCScholz I constantly tell kids how algebra is legitimately my favorite math and it only took me 3 tries to get it, but once I did? Ooh, boy!

@sophrossbrooks Omg just had to tell my 3 month old that she’s a miracle child since she was born when her mother was a barren and ancient 32 yo. She was conceived after only 2 months of trying, so it’s news to all of us. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

True or not, I did “carry my pregnancy well,” ie I never really looked as pregnant as I was. At 9 mos, I looked maybe 6-7 mos. Apparently it’s bc I have a long torso so the baby had more space to snuggle back into my body.
She was prolly so constipated tho 😅
