While reflecting on what it means to have a positive classroom environment, I realize that one of the most crucial parts of is the teacher. I have been learning about what it really means to be a โteacher leaderโ. When teachers truly lead, a positive and safe environment follows.
Talk about a fun activity!! Iโm currently working on a unit for photosynthesis and would LOVE to add this to it! Something that I have learned is that students work so well through their tactile senses. Im sure that this researched-based strategy had an impact on these students!
What better way to continue learning about plants than to EAT them! We talked all about the different parts of a plant and got to look at some examples of each part!๐ฅ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฌ
Thank you @karachismsu, from the HOPE Institute, for coming to our class to discuss character education. I learned that modeling and teaching good character in the classroom is so important! Thankful for this opportunity to grow professionally as a pre-service teacher!!
Comparing and contrasting different assessments we have learned so far in our special education course! This is so helpful to visualize since we have/are still practicing giving these assessments now!
