What an amazing turnout to the colour sun, organised by the Friends of Kilnwood Vale. The children (and staff) had so much fun! Thanks to the FoKV for organising and to everyone who contributed towards the fundraising.
To celebrate Autism Acceptance Week 2023, the children spent time in their classes talking about their individual differences. The focus of conversation was about being special, unique and having different strengths.
Hot chocolate with Ms Burke and @Mr_Keyte to celebrate 6 children from Y1-3 who have been following our Excellent Learning Behaviours this week. Keep it up! 🌟
Hello all, meet the newest member of our editorial team, Daphne Jane O'Callaghan-Burke! Born this morning, and all are doing well. She obviously didn't want to miss the DART impact 🧡
@EganCaitriona My little one didn't sleep through until 20 months & I went back to work when she was 7 months. Think the busy school days & routines got me through, that combined with some very early nights! Much easier now (she's 23 months) although about to have baby number 2! Hang in there!
@janetmarland@cnesbitt1811 Hi Janet, I saw on Facebook. How fantastic! I'd love to be a pupil (or a member of staff) at that school!! Hope you're well 😊

My reflections:
- progress isn't always linear
- even complete beginners have different beginning points
- transferable skills shouldn't be overlooked
- specific and timely verbal feedback is incredibly powerful
- surfing is really fun
