One thing about South African politics: it stays dirty, no matter the party. We keep changing the faces, but corruption, self-interest, and political survival remain. The people pay. The politicians profit. Accountability shouldn’t depend on which party is in power. #Politics
We are pleased to support @statsbots in implementing the latest #ICLS standards in the Quarterly Multi-Topic Survey.
Stronger labour statistics mean better evidence for policy, more informed decisions, and greater progress towards decent work and sustainable development.
The boardroom just got younger.
And that's exactly how it should be. 💙
We're delighted to welcome Lucy Wanjiru as RHNK's Youth Representative to the Board. 🎉
Lucy is a passionate SRHR youth advocate, GBV champion and peer educator whose leadership has already impacted the lives of thousands of young people across Kenya. Over the past three years, she has mentored more than 3,000 adolescents and young people, creating safe spaces for learning, leadership and honest conversations about sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Her journey has taken her from mentoring peers in communities to influencing national conversations on youth health through platforms such as the RHNK Pan-African Scientific Conference and the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC) Youth Co-creation Forums. In recognition of her commitment to youth leadership, she received the 2025 Barney Leadership Award.
Now, she brings those experiences into RHNK's governance.
As our Youth Representative to the Board, Lucy will help ensure that the ideas, priorities and lived experiences of young people continue to shape our strategic direction, strengthen our accountability and inform the decisions that affect the communities we serve.
We believe young people are leaders today. Investing in youth leadership means creating opportunities for young people to influence decisions, strengthen institutions and help create a future that reflects their aspirations.
Congratulations, Lucy! 🥳
We are excited to walk this journey with you and look forward to the leadership, passion and fresh perspective you will bring to the Board.

@vfsglobalcare@HomeAffairsSA, you'd think having online platforms means more efficiency and fewer delays. @VFSGlobal, you need to be on @HomeAffairsSA's case because they make you look inefficient with their delays and lack of response.
@VFSGlobal and @HomeAffairsSA please shed light on the delay in issuing people their study visas and permanent residency documents? Some applications go as far as 2022.
Is it just me… or have zebra crossings become decorative?
We can’t talk about road safety and then ignore the basics. A zebra crossing isn’t a suggestion.
Motorists, what’s happening?
