When boys led every metric for 100yrs, nobody credited policy. Nobody said boys only led because schools were built for them, teachers expected more of them, there was affirmative action and families paid their fees first. Male advantage was read as merit. Female advantage

@justalexoki Parents are ALWAYS talking about how much work kids are. Talk to almost any parent ever and they’ll share how everything they do after having kids is soooo much harder.

So it’s weird to “lose respect” for someone without kids saying the same thing.

A stay at home parent, especially to a small child would not be sitting all day if they actually carried out their responsibilities properly. If a dude is sitting at home the whole day then he’s not doing it.

Human pregnancy is incredibly, abnormally dangerous compared to almost any other mammal. Getting killed by pregnancy/birth was one of the leading causes of death for women historically. Its an evolutionary quirk that emerged ~1 million years ago due to how our body plan evolved

@nelsonauner @superkeara The reason for that is because the mom still has to do 90% of the daily chores & childcare when they’re home before & after work but the dads just go to work then mostly relax when home. So makes sense why their preference would be shaped because of that.

Whatever your own situation is doesn’t change the fact that most men in America work 8 hour days. You can come up with whatever anecdotal stories or scenarios doesn’t change facts

So back to the question: if taking care of kids and house is easy then why does it become a problem for men to do it?
