Gender affirming care reduces suicide risk by a huge margin, so does acceptance and social support. That’s why it’s considered best practice.

They’ve never been common, trans and intersex people are a minority group, but people need to understand their experiences and know that they exist because they experience high levels of bullying, violence and suicide

It’s considered best practice by both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. The number of gay people is much higher, according to Gallup 7.2%.
