The conspicuous absence of @SAFA_net and @OfficialPSL officials at Loftus was an embarrassing indictment of the toxic politics crippling SA football. Snubbing a historic FIFA final where Sundowns won global glory is a petty, short-sighted failure of leadership that smells of administrative rot.
By letting executive egos override their duty to the game, these bosses didn’t just miss a massive opportunity—they actively insulted the players and the thousands of fans who packed the stadium. A pathetic display that proves boardroom elites care more about protecting their own egocentric entitlement than celebrating the actual triumphs of South African soccer.
If this was a rugby match involving some club elsewhere,SARU wld have been in the house.
The fate of SA is inthe hands of nonfootball people who love the game for what they get.
Their silence is even louder .Their media platforms still have to congratulate Sundowns for proudly representing Africa
So the SAFA presidential position is political, and the ANC is involved? No wonder rugby and the Springboks seem to be doing better than Bafana Bafana. 😂
The Era of patronage is coming to an end. Commercial credibility is on its way back. And the end goal is national-team performance, aiming to put Bafana and Banyana in Africa’s top 3. Development of Schools football including professionalising SAFA’s development football. Corporate South Africa cannot leave football behind. It has to be at least on par as SA Rugby. President Sandile Zungu to bring back Trust at SAFA! He is coming to Serve ❤️🙏🏾
@kanyane23 The crime if you attend a game at Lucas Moripe Stadium is on another level, it is one of the reasons why most of the supporters are not attending games there, more especially those who self drive to the stadium. It’s not about no love of the team.
@MickyJnr__ Why are the journalists using a picture where he is wearing a Sundowns jersey, he was not playing for them he was playing for some unknown relegated Spanish team. Or is it the hatred campaign against Sundowns that is being promoted by the media?
@Lesufi Thank you Premier. Please make sure that the preference is given to the number of qualified South African citizens and graduates instead of foreigners.
