As a boss/supervisor, be present with your employees everyday. Be aware of what’s going on. Don’t be out in la la land for months and then decide one day to start micromanaging.
One of the most uncomfortable feelings is driving or being stopped at a light and you’re minding your own business but you randomly look over and the other driver is straight starring at you.

Guy 1: Hey can I get a spot on this incline bench?
Guy 2: “you’re gonna do 225? 🤔That’s a lot of weight for incline bench, even I don’t do that much.”
Why are we setting limitations on other people when we can’t do them ourselves!! Encourage, don’t limit.
Replacing “I deserve” with “I earned” replaces selfishness and entitlement with gratitude and appreciation.
It makes a person more approachable and respectable.
Overheard one of my staff say, “if you are here to work or volunteer, Matt is going to put you to work. He won’t let anyone stand around.”
I guess that makes me a less stubborn Stalin?
