@Asst_to_the_RM Well. Without listening to all the extraneous noise…
My father taught me: honesty and integrity are your watchwords. With out them you are nothing.
I carried that through my service and life.
@Asst_to_the_RM Well. Funny that.
I planned retirement at 21 years in 2001.
Then things happened.
Well. 11 years later I was ‘boarded out’ in 2012.
30+ years, 10+ time in grade, 51 years old.
Multiple deployments.
Eh. Such is life.
- ask me about the Australian Army
@EODHappyCaptain This observation also requires many more explanations to other questions.
This goes far beyond the malls of yesterday.
We need answers.
@TheBuddyCSM Honestly? If I had a regret?
It was later in my career when a great NCO said, “Don’t hold these soldiers in contempt”
- I was ‘high speed’ and had forgotten my purpose 😐
@ofcrdeonjoseph@Nithya_Shrii@Tommie_oy Deon, as a silly person.
My parents stopped crime.
Trust me.
Different than you I served in the military for 30 years.
Different job. Same commitment.
@BuzzPatterson Oh hush Buzz 😀
Trust me, I’m completely confident you’ve been a part of ‘shenanigans’ involving communications.
Is it appropriate? Absolutely not.
@OnDisasters I believe this is 69-18470 CH-54B and was assigned to the 208 transportation company Connecticut Army National Guard. I was a full-time federal technician and worked on this aircraft in the 1980s.
Incredible machines.
@BuzzPatterson Vet Bro… whining:
“Dude! We ate sawdust! Drank recycled antifreeze!”
- me an Army veteran. You incredible awesome lucky bastards! I’m not angry.
Jealous, yes.
Angry. No!
@BuzzPatterson Dammit Buzz. Here we go again!
Army:
Cheap domestic beer.
Red solo cups.
Paper plates.
Plastic utensils.
A backyard with kids running around.
Our wives (talking about what jerks we are)
😀
@Asst_to_the_RM I believe that regardless of branch or duty position, any service member will always answer the call to save another.
“If not me, then who?”
