Since we compare everything to Singapore are you ready to push a motion through parliament to adopt their model?
In Singapore, school caning is still legal but is tightly regulated and used mainly for serious or repeated misconduct. ONLY BOYS may be caned, and the punishment must be approved by the principal and carried out by authorized staff. Singapore views caning as a last-resort disciplinary measure.
As a parent, I support the ban on corporal punishment like many other developed countries who have abolished corporal punishment in schools altogether. But since I don't own a school, let's adopt the Singapore model .

How can Jalango be a better SENATOR than FAITH ODHIAMBO? Assume am new in town, explain to me in what way is this even a debate ? Because the Senate demands principled advocacy, scrutiny of laws & budgets, fiscal discipline, and standing up for devolution ,- not endless Negotiations for personal or party gain. Effective senators are required to analyze complex county issues, engage in debate, and resist executive overreach concerning funds and autonomy.

Kenya is a democracy where a leader is elected to represent voters; not to paternalistically decide what's "good for them" against widespread opposition.
In our constitution, leaders are elected servants, not kings or "followed" figures who override public sentiment. We Voters can want results and reject specific implementations, especially if they smell graft, debt traps, or misplaced priorities!
