🔻Judge Jvebe Nachkebia sentenced Saba Skhvitaridze to 2 years in prison. He was initially charged under Art. 353¹(2) (harm to police) but it was reclassified to Art. 120 (minor injury). He’s also recognized as a victim in an inhuman-treatment case.
Judge Tamar Mchedlishvili handed prison terms to 8 pro-EU protesters —3 sentenced to 2.5 years for “organizing group actions,” and 5 others to 2 years for “participating in violence.”
🔻 Judge Jvebe Nachkebia sentenced Anton Chechin, a Russian activist and Navalny supporter, to 8 years and 6 months in prison on drug charges. Chechin, who says police planted the drugs, had previously won a case against Russia at the ECHR and was active in pro-European protests.
🔻Kakha Kaladze said the European Commission’s demands are detached from reality and unrelated to visa liberalization, claimed the EU dislikes Georgia’s government, and stressed that Georgian leaders will continue defending national interests.
