@ContraPoints My hometown's Very White Mall has it's police station upstairs because prior to 1993 there was an arcade there which constantly led to shootings that spilled into the wider mall.

They displaced many residents and businesses and local landmarks to build that stupid behemoth, too.

@gruber Regarding your Google/Apple Maps post this week, I think it's fair to say these apps are failing to educate Americans by not including their globally accepted name inside the US, even secondarily. They can at least present truth and propaganda in equal measure.

@GarrettArt That game has, uh, insects the size of your clydesdale horse. That was the game where "just play it, you'll get over your phobia with exposure" was debunked for me. I beat it on N64, didn't like it, and have felt more disconnected from Zelda as a series as it's popularity grew.

But Test Track didn't need to cannibalize the Wonders of Life building for it's queue.

@futureport82 SSE will still be a time travel dark ride, but who knows about the actual ride system. It makes me think of the 1970s IMAX projectors that can't meet demand because nobody has ever thought about making a new one for 25 years.

@futureport82 Eh, stuff like Yeti and Paris Space are easy wins from a support standpoint (if not an operational one.) Fixing things and removing added over to the base ride.

TL and SSE, we'll have to see. TL will require a lot of new construction while SSE might have new mechanisms.

The lack of details for TL redo means they're likely going to knock down some things strict TL historian/philosophy types will grumble over.
