@ahamletlord Pure awareness bringing pure attention exactly where it is called. If things want to change, then they will (while in the presence of pure awareness).
@AaronEstel Your local farmers market?
I've been buying Vial Farms eggs. Each box has a farm name printed on it, and if you go to their website you can see a single 3D video from the farm. The chickens I've seen on screen appear to be happy chickens.
@_0bso True Meditation by Adyashanti helped me get started after bouncing off meditation several times before. His approach is much gentler and more accepting than others that I have seen. https://t.co/a03fy3Ys73
@uncatherio I like "The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook". It has some cool models about muscles, cramps, etc. It also has a handy guide for "pain here? push there" for locating the right trigger points for the situation.

@EpistemicHope If I were going to ask the question myself, I might start with the question: "Is simulating a single neuron AGI-complete?" What are the technical challenges one would face if trying to accomplish that. Reminds me of "Could a Neuroscientist Understand a Microprocessor?"
@liminal_warmth I imagine that part of it is that for every decision that you make, something has made that decision. Did you shuffle once, twice? Did you cut the deck? How many times? Who made these decisions? Daemons? How much of the order of your deck do "you" "remember"?
I just finished binge-watching Silicon Valley. I haven't watched a TV show like that in years (I haven't been drawn to any shows?). It was smart, funny, technically accurate, and had a surprise (spoiler alert?) AI X-Risk main Plot. It left me a little more hopeful than i started.
@meditationstuff I find that the things I criticize/fear most in others are the things that I criticize/fear most in myself. I also find that if I feel self-conscious while trying to share something, I end up sharing a straw thing instead of the beautiful flower that I wanted to share originally.
@wholezero that's the challenge, isn't it? bringing meditative presence to every moment? It -is- a lot harder when there is so much more sensation entering your awareness.
@ZachWeiner 3. Let the honey cool a little, then add whatever. (I like 1tsp salt, and sometimes vanilla or cardamom).
Add the tahini to the pot and mix well, then pour into a small dish (pyrex or non-stick) and then wait for it to cool.
Good luck and feel free to ask me halvah questions :)
@ZachWeiner 2b. Then with a small spatula, drop little bits of liquid honey into the cup of water every 30 seconds or so until the drops start to form soft blobs. When you can touch the honey and not squish through it to the bottom of the glass you're done. Turn off the heat.
