People talk about, action, action, action. I’m here to tell you that in some instances doing nothing is very rarely the best course rather than action, but it is effective. When you are doing nothing you are letting your friend “time” do for you. Needless to say this is rare but sometimes needed.
I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier. This has been a primary topic of discussions we've had at OpenAI in recent weeks.
Committing to having independent evaluators with employee-like access is a great idea, and we will do the same. We'll have more to share soon.
You’ve probably have already heard this but it is true. Life is not perpetual, make the most of it. Do not let failures haunt you for they should enhance your character and humble you no matter the magnitude.
You cannot spend your present days reminiscing about your past, having reveries of what was, nightmares of the dark days or foolish mistakes. Oh, how pernicious it is!
For if you spent your days now with the same energy and stress given to those thoughts, you would have already been what you dreamt of!
Be apperceptive, not helpless!
Math can never truly reach infinity, we quantify the largest collective perpetual end of numbers as infinity.
Infinity is a path you cannot cross for every step you take will not empirically help you get to the end. Although In between the beginning to infinity you can indeed reach milestones, this is by no means undermining the ultimate trait of infinity (which is never ending) but we simply cannot reach it.
