In a country like France, the birthplace of the ideals of equality, liberty and fraternity, why were these old reactionaries allowed to build their temple? How could they possibly have been granted permission to do so?
Did no one even bother to look into their past activities?

Il faudrait arracher pierre après pierre, brique après brique, jusqu’à la dernière trace de cette construction corrompue, bâtie par ces hypocrites fortunés. La France ne devrait pas tolérer que subsiste le moindre vestige d’un tel édifice…

Ce sont les mêmes qui, aux États-Unis, avaient fait venir de nombreux travailleurs sous de faux prétextes pour la construction d’un temple, avant de les contraindre à travailler pour une rémunération dérisoire — en bafouant ouvertement les lois et les règles américaines !

Là-bas aussi, grâce à la corruption qui régnait autour de cette affaire, ils ont réussi à s’en tirer en empruntant la « petite porte de derrière ».

Mais de la France, on est en droit d’attendre quelque chose de différent.

The BJP government seems determined to outdo the British Raj.
In repression, in lies, and in sheer brutality, it appears intent on surpassing even the colonial rulers.

The British used Indian policemen on their payroll to mercilessly beat and kill their own people.
Yet the police of independent India have inflicted even greater cruelty on their own countrymen- mere youths agitating peacefully-brutalising the very people they are sworn to protect. It is a tragic irony that, in this respect, they have surpassed their colonial predecessors.

The police system is absolutely ineffective when it comes to noise pollution complaints, made by senior citizens. I have complained here, on 112, on 1090 to no avail. The Banjo is playing loudly exceeding all permitted noise levels. @MumbaiPolice you have not helped at all. We both are now suffering from palpitations. Kurar police station is impervious to any complaints or they come and go back without interfering.

@MumbaiPolice and today again a wedding is creating huge noise pollution in Raheja Complex, Malad East, which falls under the @Kurar Police station. In the Santoshimata nagar SRC. Does anyone from the police dare to put a stop to this? No…. We belong to a great culture, civilisation and we can’t wed without creating noise pollution.
