All the news circulating on social media that a former Army Chief met Imran Khan in Adiala Jail are fake.

We have checked with Barrister Gohar and he has also confirmed that this is totally fake!

It is disinformation especially spread to distract from the fact that Imran Khan is being tortured through total isolation.

A distraction from the fact that:

1) He is not allowed proper treatment for his eye in a proper hospital.

2) He has not been allowed to speak to his sons.

3) He has not been allowed books for the past 6 months.

4) He has no television

5) He has not been allowed contact with anyone from the outside world in the past 6 months, except two visits by his lawyer on the orders of the court.

There is a full bench court order that allows for at least 18 people to visit him every week. 6 family members and 6 lawyers on Tuesdays, and 6 party members on Thursdays.

All above are Imran Khan’s lawful rights, under Pakistan’s laws and the International laws.

Interesting to read Pakistani comments on X! Most exhibit a sense of pride for the mere fact that the US Vice President is in Islamabad, Pakistan looks important and relevant - while Indians had been telling the world & mostly themselves that Pakistan is irrelevant, useless and India has moved ahead into the big boys league and so on. With Pakistani sense of relief, it looks that most Pakistanis had also internalized that Indian categorization and this moment proves that Indians were wrong and Pakistan is relevant because of it’s geo-strategic location and because its current military leadership has been able to forge a relationship of trust with President Trump..
All that is fine! It’s perhaps natural for a nation with a deep sense of insecurity about itself. What is surprising is that all that jubilation ends there.
There is hardly any realization that this brief moment of Pakistani importance is an outcome of Iranian people’s unbelievable courage, conviction & stamina they demonstrated while standing up against a 40 day relentless assault by the US and Israeli war machines. A reign of terror that unleashed 21,500 bombing raids leading to thousands of deaths (figures being deliberately not revealed), elimination of top political and military leadership and destruction of vital industrial infrastructure that may require hundreds of billions of dollars and years of reconstruction - a tragedy that demands, Pakistan to be more proactive in being an honest broker. For instance Govt ministers needed to be more vocal on reminding the world that “Lebanon” was part of the ceasefire deal as conveyed by Washington. Rather the useless child like anti-Israeli tweet by the Defence Minister..
Role of honest broker also demands impressing upon the American delegation that a sustainable US-Iran Peace and lifting of Iran Sanctions will do utmost good to Pakistan and the region in terms of energy security (IPI & other potential supplies) trade and development- and security of Israel shouldn’t be the only consideration for a would be future President of the United States (JD Vance)
Lastly, let’s not forget that VP Vance is in Pakistan, imparting a moment of glory to the forgotten ally, because American public at large, liberal intelligentsia and social media pundits have relentlessly opposed this war creating political risks for President if he continues with war and US-Israel Special Relationship is under the microscope like never before..
