MP Court Convicts 14 Cow Vigilantes in Mob Lynching Case
On August 3, 2022, Nazir Ahmed was brutally beaten to death by a mob in Madhya Pradesh's Seoni Malwa tehsil over allegations of cattle smuggling.
Nearly four years later, an Additional District and Sessions Court in Seoni Malwa has convicted 14 accused and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
The verdict triggered emotional scenes outside the court. Family members of the convicts broke down, protested the sentence, and attempted to stop police vehicles from taking the convicted men to jail. Some relatives even lay down in front of the vehicles, leading to a scuffle with police personnel.
After considerable effort, the police brought the situation under control and transferred all 14 convicts to jail.
Speaking to the media, some family members claimed that the youths had been drawn into the incident in the name of gau seva (cow protection), but that it ultimately resulted in a tragic loss of life.

On March 19, cops barged into Mansoor Ahmad's home in Prayagraj, dragged him to the station, and threw him in jail... no warrant, no bail bond, no legal process. He sat behind bars for 8 illegal days.

Mansoor knocked on Allahabad High Court's door... and the court delivered. The HC ordered UP government to pay ₹2 lakh compensation within 6 weeks, to be recovered from the guilty ACP's salary after disciplinary inquiry.

The court called the denial of a personal bond "shocking"... and dropped a bombshell: 721 people have been illegally detained in Prayagraj Commissionerate alone in 2026. New orders now mandate audio-visual recording if bail is refused... violate it and it's ₹25,000/day plus action against the officer.

One man fought back. And changed the rules for everyone.

When an official embassy issues a direct rebuttal, shouldn't viewers be told about the rebuttal or atleast both sides of the story?

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India categorically rejects the reports and claims circulated by certain media outlets regarding the economic situation in Iran and alleged difficulties in the supply of essential goods and public necessities.

It is emphasized that, despite the imposition of three wars and extensive pressures against the Iranian nation, no shortage of essential commodities or basic necessities has occurred to date. Owing to the effective measures and responsible management of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the procurement, supply, and distribution of the goods required by the country continue in a normal, stable, and uninterrupted manner.

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran also urges respected Indian media organizations to obtain and disseminate news and reports concerning Iran from credible, official, and verifiable sources. In this regard, it should be recalled that Iran International is a media outlet affiliated with opponents and adversaries of the Iranian people and has a long record of disseminating biased narratives aligned with anti-Iranian political agendas. Consequently, it cannot be regarded as a credible source for accurately reflecting the realities of Iran.

From February till today, no LPG cylinder due to transfer issue. Multiple rounds to agency, unnecessary delays, forced purchase of pipe/lighter, and extra charges despite customer care saying it’s not mandatory. Still work incomplete. Strict action needed.
