Deepening bilateral cooperation with a country widely accused of committing genocide is a troubling decision. The Foreign Ministry should have exercised greater judgment and been more mindful of the implications of such a move.
I strongly condemn the terrorist attack of 3 February, in Kwara State, Nigeria.
My heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims & to the people & Government of Nigeria. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
Did you notice how the headlines in Kwara attacks don't include "Worshipers" or "Christians"
Yep, because the majority of the Victims are Muslims and killing Muslims doesn't fit the perfect headline.
@Realoilsheikh When the US uses force in Venezuela under the banner of fighting drug trafficking—killing thousands without due judicial process—it’s “legitimate.” But Shari’a, which also condemns drugs and requires judicial verdicts, is labeled oppressive. One is praised, the other demonized!
The world can move on without the United States.
100 years ago, the British Empire dominated global commerce, commanding more than 20% of the world’s wealth. Many believed its sun would never set.
200 years ago, France bestrode Europe’s stage, its armies feared, its culture envied. Napoleon declared himself immortal.
400 years ago, the Spanish crown reigned from Manila to Mexico, its treasure fleets groaning with silver and silk. The kings thought their glory would last eternal.
Each empire proclaimed itself indispensable. Each was ultimately eclipsed.
Power wanes, influence migrates, and legitimacy dies the moment it’s assumed rather than earned. Should America forfeit the world’s respect, it will discover what every fallen empire learned too late:
The world moves on. Always.
In Gaza, they’re burning children alive.
In Jerusalem, they’re chanting ‘Death to Arabs’
In the West Bank, they’re terrorizing Palestinians to force them off their land.
What more do you need to see before admitting Israel’s goal is eradicating Palestinian existence?
*King Faisal Award (2025) Goes to Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Mahmud Gummi*
It is no longer news that Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gumi, the revered father of Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Gumi, was honored with one of the highest global recognitions in the Islamic world—the King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam—in the year 1987 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He received the award directly from King Fahd, in recognition of his monumental contributions to Islam, particularly his tireless efforts in preaching, teaching, and translating the meanings of the Holy Qur’an into Hausa.
Sheikh Abubakar Gumi was the first Nigerian to receive this prestigious award. His legacy in promoting Islamic education, unity, and jurisprudence across Nigeria and beyond remains indelible. He collaborated with distinguished leaders such as Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna, established Islamic institutions, and represented Nigeria on several international Islamic platforms—including as a respected member of the Muslim World League.
It is, therefore, deeply disappointing and unbecoming of the Saudi authorities to have revoked the entry of Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi into the Kingdom after initially granting him a visa to perform the Hajj pilgrimage—an obligation and sacred right of every able Muslim. This unjust act reflects a disturbing trend of politicizing access to the Holy Sites and suppressing dissenting voices.
Such an act is not only a betrayal of the Islamic principle of brotherhood and inclusivity but a diplomatic embarrassment for a nation that serves as custodian of Islam’s two holiest sites.
Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a retired Captain of the Nigerian Army and a certified medical doctor (MBBS) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, spent over two decades in Saudi Arabia studying under their institutions and scholars. He earned his PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence from the prestigious Umm al-Qura University in Makkah—a credential that confirms his deep-rooted scholarly affiliation with the Kingdom.
His biography, academic achievements, and ideological clarity are not unknown to the Saudi authorities.
It must be recalled that in the aftermath of the 2009 Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab case, popularly known as the "Underwear Bomber" incident, Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Gumi was summoned for investigation—following a request by the United States through Interpol to the Saudi authorities. This was in response to the discovery of sermon-related messages exchanged between him and Abdulmutallab, whom he had counseled at the request of the young man's father, Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, when he noticed signs of radicalization and extremist views about Islam in his son. And after a thorough investigation, Sheikh Gumi was completely exonerated and was even graciously compensated by the Saudi authorities in acknowledgment of his cooperation, transparency, and innocence.
The Saudis know exactly who Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi is.
To deny him entry into Makkah and Madinah—lands sanctified by Allah—not because of any crime or legal wrongdoing, but merely due to his independent views and critical voice, is a dangerous precedent. It is a short-sighted, divisive, and unsustainable foreign policy to adopt that contradicts the spirit of Islam, which calls for justice, freedom of expression, and access to sacred rites without discrimination.
Restricting access only to those who echo praises while excluding scholars, thinkers, or reformers based on their ideological stance is a disservice to Islam and the unity of the Ummah. The Holy Lands are not the property of any royal family, government, or ideology—they belong to Allah and the entire Muslim Ummah.
Dear Twitter NG, take time to speak & retweet pls..
Professor Usman Yusuf has been detained for his outspoken criticism and remarks against the injustices and miscalculations of the Nigerian government, and it’s not even trending. This is the same man whose videos we’ve been sharing widely because he voiced what many average Nigerians couldn’t say out loud.
We demand his immediate release @officialABAT
There’s no Astronaut better than Prophet Muhammad (saw), he was the only one that went through the cosmos, journeyed through the planets, through the stars, through the galaxies, went over the observable universe, to the edge of the universe, crossed over to the first heaven, to the second, till he reached the lote tree in the seventh heaven, he saw it all, not through Hubble space telescope or JWST, he had first hand experience, May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
@mcnun@Aadamxy@Realoilsheikh The nomenclature of how his name is mentioned doesn't matter. Even if he was mentioned as Isah (AS) in that banner, the fact still remains that the message is explicitly referring to Jesus, Yeshua, or whatever name you may call him. It is the message they're attacking!
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD
JESUS IS NOT GOD

These are the banners around Lekki Central Mosque. But, Aunty Wumi only snapped the one wey pain her pass 🤣
Thanks for helping to spread the message. Yes, Jesus Christ is not God! He is a Prophet and Messenger of God.
@verystubbornchi@OgechukwuChime@ObidientsWorld@winexviv Verystubbornchi! Don't stubbornly ignore the underlining points of the analogy.
An architect designs, the civil engineer guides, the mason builds.
The mechanical engineer designs, the technician guides, the artisan crafts.
This applies to fixing too. Architects/Engineers dont fix
@OgechukwuChime@albkohol@ObidientsWorld@winexviv And when something happens to the building (ex. Cracks on the wall or structural issues), it is still the mason that will fix it not the Architect. I've not even mentioned Civil Engineers who guide the construction and how the mason should apply his artisan skills.
@verystubbornchi@OgechukwuChime@ObidientsWorld@winexviv Let's make an analogy with building.
An architect designs the building plan, but it is the mason that brings the building plan into existence.
So the architect is like the Engineer here, and the mason is the Technician. Hope this explains better.
