Dr. Abubakar Bamai Musa Elected President of the All Africa Youth Forum (AAYF)
Theme: Empowering a Generation, Transforming a Continent
The All Africa Youth Forum (AAYF) is pleased to announce the election of Dr. Abubakar Bamai Musa from Nigeria as its new President for a four-year term. Dr. Musa’s emergence reflects a renewed commitment to youth-driven development, continental unity, and inclusive leadership across Africa.
In his inaugural message, Dr. Musa emphasized that his tenure will focus on Youth Empowerment, Agriculture and Food Systems, Climate Action, and Gender Equality, describing his vision as one centered on “transforming Africa’s potential into power through youth innovation and collective action.”
“This is not just a position — it is a call to action. Africa’s youth are not the leaders of tomorrow; we are the architects of today,” Dr. Musa stated. “Through the All Africa Youth Forum, we will empower young people to lead in agribusiness, climate innovation, and inclusive governance — ensuring no one is left behind.”
Under his leadership, the AAYF aims to:
•Build strong youth cooperatives and leadership networks across African regions;
•Promote youth participation in agriculture and value chain development;
•Advance climate adaptation, green jobs, and sustainable development initiatives; and
•Strengthen gender equality and inclusion across all AAYF programs.
Dr. Musa also called on African governments, development partners, and private sector leaders to invest in youth capacity, support innovation, and collaborate across borders to achieve the Africa We Want — as envisioned in the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
“Our generation holds the key to Africa’s transformation,” he affirmed. “It is time to move from hope to action, from potential to productivity, and from vision to victory.”
The All Africa Youth Forum congratulates Dr. Musa and reaffirms its commitment to empowering the next generation of African leaders driving progress across all sectors.
