Today, the Gambia Autism Support and Advocacy Network (GASAN) brought the community together for a powerful day of action. We started the morning with a vibrant Match Pass from Bakau to NACCUG, led by the rhythmic energy of the scout band
On World Autism Awareness Day, (GASAN) are calling on families, schools, institutions, government, and our communities to deepen our understanding of autism and create spaces where persons on the spectrum feel accepted, supported, and truly valued. Autism is not a limitation.
Yesterday, GASAN met with @ChildFundGambia at their Head Office to explore a potential partnership in advocating for the autistic community in The Gambia.
Encouraged by our shared commitment to strengthening support systems and amplifying the voices on the ASD in the Gambia.
We appreciate the warm reception and engaging discussions with @TiKAinTheGambia during our courtesy visit. It was a valuable opportunity to share GASAN’s work and explore potential collaboration to strengthen autism awareness, advocacy, and inclusion efforts across The Gambia.
Today was our Family Fun Day for autistic children and their families 💙✨
A day filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful connections. We shared a heartfelt session with parents as they opened up about their stories and experiences, and the children enjoyed drawing, games etc.
