I have been putting off making this post but not today, I will do it. I have been on X since 2020 and one of the things I learnt was financial education and the magic of compounding.

I started my stock account with about 35k and last year, my GTCO dividend was #195.30k, my total dividend was less than #400. Now I look back at that account and it’s just funny how it’s gradually making sense.

In whatever you are doing, just remember that you might not see results now, but it will come together with time. Special thanks to all those who took time to teach us here, I really appreciate it.

We all contributed 10,000 naira each for our landlord's birthday coming up on the 12th. Total was about 120k naira and we gave it to one of my neighbors to keep safe.

I noticed he didn't sleep in his flat last night, so I reached out this morning. He said he had traveled to the village because his mom is sick, and he had already taken 50k from the money to support her treatment.

I said no problem, but asked him to send the remaining 70k so he doesn't touch that too. He started insulting me, calling me insensitive for talking about money while his mother is sick.

I ignored him and ended the chat.

He just dropped a message in the group saying he won't be available for the birthday and that he has already used the money. Then came the dirty suggestion, that we should all contribute again since he can't pay back before the date.

I don't know why people misbehave the moment they get hold of money. Is it the money or their personality?
