The Day of Judgment will last fifty thousand years.
That means one minute on the Day of Judgment is roughly equal to 35 years of worldly life.
So, if someone lived for 30 years, it would be as though they had lived less than a minute.
And if someone lived for 60 years, it would be just under two minutes.
Just imagine…
All the rushing, the struggles, the disagreements, the hardships, the joys, and the sorrows—
the entire lifetime that seems so long to us—
will amount to no more than two or three minutes when measured against the Hereafter.
So before you spend your life on things that are not truly worth it,
remember that the entire journey is shorter than you think.
Allah, the Exalted, says:
﴿كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا﴾.
“On the Day they see it, it will seem to them as though they had remained [in the world] no more than an evening or its morning.”
