Bringing us back to the point I made earlier. If a state gets 94% or 80% of its revenue from the FG, there needs to be either a plan to bring this number below 20% over time or if you remain above a certain threshold you lose your statehood.

Any new state creation must have FAAC dependency ratio conditions, if you don’t have a revenue to sustain a state, you get collapsed or merged into a bigger state.

We cannot be doing this nonsense for decades on end. It’s dishonest and it needs to end.

I don't believe anyone can eliminate corruption. Just a selective target always.

I don't believe anyone can implement proper austerity in Government. They can do something for optics but nothing significant.

We have to grow amidst these features albeit slowly...

Insisting on eliminating those 2 before progressing is just a waste of time IMO.

Even in 2023, at the peak of sympathy for the Muslim-Muslim ticket, and when Buhari was still alive, the most loved politician in the history of Northern Nigeria, actively campaigning for Tinubu

Tinubu didn’t get 70% in Jigawa, he got 48%.

Tinubu didn’t get 70% in Kaduna, he got 29.4%.

Tinubu didn’t get 85% in Kebbi, he got 44%.

Tinubu didn’t get 65% in Sokoto, he got 46%.

Tinubu didn’t get 75% in Katsina, he got 45%.

Tinubu didn’t get 75% in Zamfara, he got 57%.

Tinubu didn’t get 65% in Kano, he got 30%.

But now, with all the hardship, premium neglect, insecurity, and chronic nepotism displayed by the Tinubu administration, you are allocating these percentages to Tinubu?

The only thing that can save Tinubu in those states is voter apathy, he should pray they don't come out, with Atiku’s promise of bringing back subsidy, you should be very very very afraid, you should panick, and I guess panick is why you are making all this posts 😂

Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan is not the incumbent. The burden of proof therefore rests on Mallam Uba Sani to explain why he deserves another mandate despite the evident failures and maladministration of his administration.
As for our candidate, his record of human capital development, empowerment and representation in the legislature speaks for itself. I will not claim that he built roads, schools or hospitals as a legislator because that is not his core mandate. But within the limits of his constitutional responsibilities, his contribution to his constituency is unparalleled.
The question for the incumbent is simple: what have you done with the enormous resources and executive powers entrusted to you as Governor? How do you justify spending ₦11 billion on a banquet hall, with another ₦2 billion allocated for Stadium 'renovation' first phase, while lecturers go on strike, doctors remain poorly paid and essential public services struggle?
How do you explain leaving projects initiated and substantially advanced by Mallam Nasiru El-Rufa’i, including the Arewa House–Rigasa link road, Kofar Doka flyover in Zaria and Millennium City Hospital, abandoned? Every naira spent is a choice. When ₦11 billion goes into a banquet hall, it is ₦11 billion that cannot simultaneously go into hospitals, schools, roads or human capital.
So, Mallam Sani, the burden is yours. Tell the people of Kaduna why they should renew your mandate. Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan is asking for an opportunity to govern. You are asking to continue. The difference is that you must now justify your record.

The morning after the “subsidy is gone” proclamation at Eagle Square, Nigerians were promised a new era of relief, including electric buses to ease the burden of the subsidy removal.

It never materialised when Nigerians needed it most.

Now, on the eve of a general election, the government suddenly rolls out 100 electric buses for civil servants and expects Nigerians to mistake this token gesture for transformative governance.

This is not the delivery of a transportation revolution. It is electoral cosmetics.

The timing says everything. Four years of economic pain, rising transport costs and worsening living standards—and suddenly, as the election approaches, the government discovers the magic of electric buses.

But then again, this is the same politics that believes a bag of rice can purchase gratitude for four years of hardship.

Only those who have allowed themselves to be distracted by ubiquitous rice distribution will mistake this belated gesture for performance.

Nigerians should ask a simple question: Why now?

Governance is not about unveiling a few buses when elections are around the corner. It is about delivering sustainable policies that improve people's lives consistently—not staging carefully timed spectacles and hoping voters forget what happened in between.

Tokenism is not transformation. And Nigerians must not allow electoral handouts to substitute for accountability.

What gets audited gets done.
So audit, audit, and audit again!

Every time you stop looking over a process, people will find ways to bypass it and introduce their own methods, either from a genuine place or simply out of convenience or laziness. I remember an incident in 2018 at one of our branches where the manager started bypassing our waste management procedure because he wasn't comfortable with it. Only consistent periodic audits could have caught that early, before it resulted in major customer issues.

This takes me back to my O&G days, where process audits were taken very seriously and happened consistently at multiple levels:

Level 1: Self-audit conducted by the unit.
Level 2: Bi-annual Country HQ audits.
Level 3: Regional HQ audits.
Level 4: Global Office audits, done once every four years or so, if I remember correctly.

A process is only as strong as the checks and audits that back it up. You can have the best SOPs, policies, and controls, but if nobody is checking whether they are actually being followed, people will gradually start doing what is convenient rather than what is correct.

And this isn't just about financial audits. Audit everything that matters in your business: operations, inventory, customer service, quality, sales, procurement, marketing, people practices, technology, and even management itself.

Build different levels of checks. Let teams audit themselves, let managers independently check their teams, and periodically bring in people outside the process for a fresh look.

Most importantly, audit continuously. The moment you stop checking, things can easily start to revert.

Where compliance is critical, audit results must also be tied to performance, accountability, and consequences, otherwise, they simply become another report.

Processes don't sustain themselves. What gets audited gets attention, and what gets attention has a better chance of getting done properly.
