@David_SportX@TrylineUK England win the first the game and they’re guaranteed a semi final. The fact that they’re clearly the fifth best team in the competition is why they’re probably not getting into a semi final
@johnnyddavidson Yesterday, I’d have said England were comfortably the 5th-best team in the world. But after the Cook Islands’ showing against NZ, and Fiji scoring as many tries in the first half against Australia as England managed in 3 full games last year… are England closer to 4th or 6th?
@englishsportfan@TrylineUK Perhaps, but it wouldn’t have made England putting 80 on France any more interesting. Knowing that they’re basically (potentially) having a cricket shoot out with Samoa, with England’s second innings coming next week, has made this week infinitely more interesting
@johnlew13 It’s worse, they’re gonna put 70 on France and then they’ll say “see! This was the right team! We’re as good as Australia!” It’s the same every time
@KeirStitt@mikelavelle93 Fine, but if you can’t tell from the camera angles, don’t give it. Same way as you can’t tell grounding all the time, if there isn’t a conclusive angle, go with the refs ruling, but if you look back at it and it’s an NFL style forward pass, that’s blatantly obvious, call it back
