I watched a Trevor Noah podcast video this morning that made me rethink a few things. The American government banned marijuana and Psychedelics because they were afraid of black people and Hippies using those drugs. Why? It wasn't the fear of being challenged but of being successful because of the disconnection from ego.

American capitalism and the American way of life thrive on ego and the human drive to be better than others. This is also why "democracy" was the most dangerous American export. God forbid that you would become self-sufficient and not buy into American culture in some form.

I have always said that Hollywood was the biggest and longest-running advert for America; now, technology companies and the lore around them have taken over.

Communism and socialism have downsides, but every country should be left to evolve on its terms. The most devastating thing Nigeria ever did was adopt the American executive system of governance while the country wasn't yet mature enough.
