@lunaire_rndm In my opinion the vast majority of retail content is far too easy to be compelling from a gameplay standpoint. It is only once you get into the higher levels of the endgame that the game demands anything substantial from the player.
@lunaire_rndm The difficulty curve in retail is grotesquely exponential whereas in classic it’s more linear and since classic is more challenging during the levelling phase(not very hard mind you, but much more than retail) the game can on an overall scale feel more challenging/demanding.
@TheFrostPrime I’m fully convinced that well over half of the people who are mad about Anita don’t even know what she supposedly did for them to be mad about.

Subjective preference ≠ objective quality
These are obviously completely different games with entirely separate design philosophies. It’s honestly moronic to insinuate that preferring one over the other is purely due to nostalgia. They are so clearly not the same game anymore.
@towelthetank Classic+ needs to make enough changes/additions/improvements to justify killing SoD. Even with all it’s issues SoD became one of my favourite versions of WoW and it would be very unfortunate if Clas+ can’t at least somewhat fill the shoes of what was a beloved version of the game
@AutomaticJak Interesting itemisation, for quite a while now gear has felt incredibly boring both in the stats themselves and in how it feels to get an upgrade.
@TheBenchWOW What are your opinions on the state of itemisation? Personally, I think wow currently has some of the worst feeling gear for a game that focuses so much on gear progression as a source of player motivation. It is both incredibly boring and yet not very intuitive.
@hmmnaptime current vs beta
part of it is using class colors on the frames but there isn't an option to only use class colored names like on retail so it's either all or nothing. not being able to separate the hots to distinct positions sucks, and I want to see a color not the spell icon
@lofibanshee Damn, do these “people” not have anything better to do than to harass someone else for stuff that has no impact on them? jobless behaviour
