Sebaashray was conceived with the vision of upholding the fundamental right to accessible and quality healthcare for all. Guided by the spirit of compassion and the duty of service to humanity, I had launched Sebaashray last year to extend free medical care not only to the people of the Diamond Harbour but also to countless individuals from across Bengal. It fills me with deep satisfaction that Sebaashray became a trusted symbol of care, faith, and reassurance for the people it sought to serve. I had promised that Sebaashray would return, and today, that promise stands fulfilled.
Beginning 1st December 2025, Sebaashray will once again open its doors to the people of Diamond Harbour, continuing till 22nd January 2026, culminating in a Mega Camp from 24th to 30th January 2026. Each camp will remain operational from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Anchored in the principles of service, empathy, and care for the distressed, Sebaashray returns, stronger, broader in its reach, and steadfast in its mission to serve every individual in need.
সকলের সুস্বাস্থ্য, আমাদের অঙ্গীকার।
Bengal, our beloved motherland, is being hounded, humiliated, maligned, and vilified by Bohiragoto Bangla-Birodhi Zamindars who thrive on lies and propaganda, increasingly in the digital space where the battle now rages.
It is upon us to stand up for Bengal’s rights, dignity, and truth, to fight back with clarity and conviction. That’s why I am launching ‘Ami Banglar Digital Joddha’, a people-powered, youth-led digital movement to protect Bengal’s identity, uphold its truth, and carry its message of pride and progress to every corner of India and the world.
To every young person who refuses to let Bengal be slandered, this is your clarion call. Join as a Digital Joddha. Strengthen Bengal’s future. Register by using the link below and let the world witness what Bengal can achieve when its people rise as one 👇

To reduce tragedy into a narrative of blame is the height of opportunism.
True leadership uplifts, unites & rebuilds, it does not pontificate from a distance while people endure the storm.
It is unfortunate and deeply concerning that the Prime Minister of India has chosen to politicise a natural disaster without waiting for a proper investigation, especially while people in North Bengal are grappling with the aftermath of devastating floods and landslides.
When the entire local administration and police is engrossed in relief and rescue operations, the BJP leaders chose to go to the affected areas with a large convoy of cars and under security cover of the central forces and that too without any information to local police and administration. How can the state administration , local police or the TMC be blamed for the incident ?
The PM has blamed the TMC and the West Bengal Government outright without a shred of verified evidence, legal inquiry, or administrative report. This is not just a political low, it is a breach of the constitutional ethos the Prime Minister has sworn to uphold. In any democracy, the law must take its own course, and only due process can determine culpability - not a tweet from a political pulpit.
The incident occurred in a constituency where the people themselves have elected a BJP MLA. Yet the Prime Minister sees no contradiction in painting the incident as a reflection of TMC’s so-called “strongmanship.” Such sweeping, unsubstantiated generalisations are not only immature, but also, they are unbecoming of the highest office in the land.
Coming from a Prime Minister who visited Manipur only 964 days after it was engulfed in ethnic violence, the sudden concern for Bengal appears less like empathy and more like opportunistic political theatre.
Yes, we all condemn violence, unequivocally. But this is not the time for partisan chest-thumping. This is a time to help and heal.
It’s also evident that BJP is resorting to the tired North Bengal vs South Bengal narrative, hoping to polarise people ahead of elections. Let us be clear: Bengal is one - emotionally, culturally, and politically.
I urge the Prime Minister: Listen to the elected state government, not just your party colleagues. You are the Prime Minister of India, not just of BJP. Your responsibility lies in nation-building, not narrative-building.
At this critical hour, let us not deepen divides. Let us stand united beyond party lines, to serve the people who need us the most. Let’s leave politics for another day.
There is something ineffable about Mahatma Gandhi that compels one to bow their head in reverence before him.
Today, I paid floral tributes at the foot of his statue in Parliament Square, Westminster, London.
This memorial stands as a timeless reminder of his ideals, which continue to inspire generations across the world.

The BJP’s brazen attempt to introduce a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT BILL today, WHILE THE CONSTITUTION DEBATE IS STILL UNDERWAY in Parliament, is nothing short of an unashamed attack on democracy. The One Nation One Election bill seeks to ROB THE PEOPLE OF THEIR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT to vote regularly — A right that holds governments accountable and prevents unchecked power. This is not just a bill rather it is a direct assault on the very foundation of our democracy built through the sacrifices of our founding fathers. Bengal will not sit silent. We will fight tooth and nail to protect the soul of India and crush this anti-democratic agenda.
Bring it on!
Since day one, I have supported the doctors in their concerns regarding safety and security, and I have always maintained that most of their concerns, barring a few, are valid, sensible and justified. As per the SC's directions and the GoWB’s submission before the SC yesterday, most of the measures for improving their safety and security are in progress, including the installation of CCTV cameras and infrastructural developments in Medical Colleges and Hospitals across West Bengal, which are expected to be completed within 14 days. Additionally, the government has honored their demands for transferring certain top officials in the Health Department and Kolkata Police, as confirmed by the HCM the day before in her media address.
As a gesture of goodwill, the doctors should now consider CALLING OFF THE STRIKE AND WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH GoWB to serve the people and expedite the implementation of the task force's initiatives to ensure these changes are promptly executed.
Lastly, it is crucial to hold the CBI accountable and ensure that no perpetrators are spared, with swift punishment handed down at the earliest opportunity. The CBI's record speaks for itself: over the past 10 years, they have not completed a single investigation they have undertaken. JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED.
#JusticeForRGKar
Public representatives across party lines need to be more HUMBLE and SYMPATHETIC. I urge everyone in @AITCofficial not to speak ill of anyone from the MEDICAL FRATERNITY OR CIVIL SOCIETY. Everyone has the right to protest and express themselves— This is what sets West Bengal apart from other BJP-ruled states. We have wholeheartedly fought against the BULLDOZER MODEL AND OPPRESSION TACTICS of politics. Now is the time for constructive actions to ensure such horrific incidents are not repeated. Bengal must stand united in this fight and not stop until the perpetrators are punished and an ANTI-RAPE Time Bound law is enacted by both the states and Union government.
Over the past 10 days, while the nation has been protesting against the #RGKarMedicalcollege incident and demanding justice, 900 RAPES have occurred across different parts of India - DURING THE VERY TIME WHEN PEOPLE WERE ON THE STREETS PROTESTING AGAINST THIS HORRIBLE CRIME.
Sadly, a lasting solution still remains largely undiscussed.
With 90 RAPES REPORTED DAILY, 4 EVERY HOUR AND 1 EVERY 15 MINUTES - the urgency for a decisive action is clear. We need strong laws that mandate TRIALS & CONVICTIONS WITHIN 50 days, followed by the severest punishments, not just empty promises. State governments must act and urgently push the Union for a comprehensive anti-rape law that ensures swift and strict justice. Anything less is merely symbolic and tragically ineffective.
WAKE UP INDIA!

PHENOMENAL SUPPORT!
During his grand public meeting in Paschim Medinipur, Shri @abhishekaitc reached out to the people and firmly upheld our commitment to ushering in a new era of progress.
He staunchly stated that the BJP-led Central Government has unjustly withheld funds for various schemes. But, the GoWB has persevered and fulfilled all the promises to the people of Bengal.
With people's boundless love and unwavering support, WE SHALL EMBRACE VICTORY!

Today, Shri @abhishekaitc completed 9 years as an MP, and to mark the occasion and express his gratitude, he launched Nishobdo Biplab in Falta.
Thousands were in attendance as he presented his report card of 9 years that encapsulates Diamond Harbour’s journey towards becoming a model constituency.
Special moments from the grand event👇
I have received a summon from the CBI to appear before them tomorrow, on 20th May'23 for examination.
Despite not being given even a day’s prior notice, I will still abide by the summon.
I will give my full cooperation during the course of the investigation. (1/2)
As for my #JonoSanjogYatra, it will resume again on 22nd May'23 from the same location in Bankura where I stop today.
Unfazed by these events, I shall strive to serve the people of West Bengal with even greater dedication, zeal and commitment. Bring it on 💪🏼
I am deeply pained upon learning about the mishap in Indore’s Beleshwar Mahadev Temple that took away multiple lives.
