The families of missing persons, including the relatives of Adeel Iqbal, Zareef Mohammad Bakhsh, Jahanzaib Fazal, Shoaib Liaqat, Abid Washdil, and Hammad Nazeer, have been protesting in D-Baloch, Turbat, since February 1st.

They have blocked the main road demanding the release of their loved ones who were taken by Pakistani security forces last year. Their ongoing protest awaits justice and accountability for their loved ones.

The daily occurrence of enforced disappearances among Baloch students is alarming.

Hammal, son of Qadir Baksh, and Aslam, son of Karim Baksh, were forcibly disappeared four days ago.

Additionally, three more students fell victim to enforced disappearances yesterday: Akhtar Yalanzai from Kharan, Mehraj from Turbat, and Mehbob, son of Mohd Hasan, from Makuran Coastal Highway in Badok, Pasni.

Among them, Mehbob is a BBA 5th-semester student at LUAWMS.

The recent surge in enforced disappearances has significantly added to the insecurity experienced by Baloch students.

Henceforth, we strongly demand the safe release of all Baloch students.

Despite our efforts through peaceful protests and sit-ins to draw the attention of authorities, their response has been consistent with deploying new pressure tactics. Now, the Prime Minister, who is the chief executive of the Republic, has openly started threatening us by labeling peaceful protesters as terrorist sympathizers. We are in Islamabad since December 20th, all government institutions have proven ineffective in curbing enforced disappearances and arresting and punishing the murderers of Balaach Mula Bakhsh, who was extrajudicially killed by CTD in Turbat. With no effective alternatives, turning to international bodies like the @UN appears to be our only option now and nobody can stop us from going to the @UNinPak office in Islamabad.
