This is how my views compare with the election candidates in the upcoming Australian election according to the @ABCaustralia@VoteCompass. Try it for yourself! #AusPol#AusVotes https://t.co/d0HZIH4Dew
@TIMMY33TRIS @APDNixon@slipperygoblin No Australian would ever say “biweekly”, and personally I think it’s an inferior term because of the ambiguity (could mean either every two weeks or twice a week)
City vs country living:
My brother’s visiting and asked for reviews on a particular local pub.
“It’s alright, but it’s across town”
“It says here it’s only 8 minutes away?!?”
“8 minutes away is the other side of town, Mitchell”
@SteveWoosnam@jaycee0202@BenFordhamLive these kids are out of control and committing SERIOUS crimes - home invasions, threatening people at knife point, lighting cars on fire, specifically targeting women / the elderly - and constantly being let out on bail.
@PatrickLenton Knew someone who’s older brother was called Holden, so when he got to high school everybody called him Ford. I don’t even remember his real name, but it was something incredibly normal like Michael or something
@6NewsAU I personally believe social media is rotting our brains but parents should be the ones in control here. Maybe find some kind of educational advertising campaign aimed towards parents / teens, but banning kids from social media will not work
@thefootywithbro we used to watch it at school! Now nobody I know even watches it at all. But still so many businesses, even our local council, plan around it and have a day off (in NSW). My kid’s swimming lessons don’t even run on Melbourne Cup day.
another male journo in a local group looking for people to interview about a very women-centric issue. Why is it always male journalists reporting on women-centric stories, when they could just give the story to a woman??
@JasonClareMP As a taxpayer with a HECs debt, a mortgage, and 2 kids - my HECs debt affects me far less than the cost of living, interest rates, the childcare crisis that is preventing my return to work…
