Today I played the best chess game of my life. How many times do you get to say that? Wasn't entirely sure about the outcome of my plan, but it turned out to be a masterpiece. I'm as satisfied as one can be, it truly was a joy to play today.

@LeonWatson If we're making up rules as we go, just make them play an armageddon game. If they refuse to continue, forfeit them both and let the losers from semifinals play a new final.

@TheEverythingHQ @chess24com I would argue that more than Niemann he was fighting himself. Magnus was driven by anger there, while he's been driven purely by his skills and determination in the other matches.

@wmiltti He is just in time. Gets the queen one move earlier, which is also how white won the game, yet in a different move order (1. Kxh3), where you actually had a chance to draw it with a5!

@wmiltti Yes, good spot! I had about two minutes to find it and played Qf3 with the last second on my clock.
Though the game ended very quickly after Rxd1+ Kc2 Qd7 Qxd1 1:0.
