Samson achieved the highest individual honor a player can achieve in international cricket ie POTT in a WC scoring 85+ in every knockout game.

Shreyas Iyer, who wasn't part of India's last two WC -winning squads, and Tilak Varma, who doesn't even have a fixed position in the T20I XI, are being discussed for captaincy but not Sanju( Not like Sanju doesn't have captaincy experience - Sanju is the only RR captain to take RR to an IPL final since 2008)

Sanju has 57 ODI avg, a 💯 in his last ODI which was a series decider in SA yet he is not in consideration for ODIs?

Is it because he is not a Hindu?
