A Red Flag Warning has been issued for out area tomorrow. Due to very strong winds, low humidity, record high temps, and very dry fuel loads, there is potential for extreme fire behavior if a fire starts.
- Please stay away from any fire incident for your safety and the safety of the crews operating in the area. There will be times of decreased visibility due to smoke and blowing dust.

A Severe Thunderstorm warning has been issued for Sedgwick County until 4:30am. 60 mph wind and 3/4” hail possible with this storm as it moves through the area.
Severe weather is possible again this afternoon and this evening, E of the KS Turnpike. Golf ball to tennis ball hail, 60-70 mph winds and even a tornado or two are possible. #kswx

On Saturday February 15th, 9am-12pm the department will be training at 108 N Second Ave in the downtown area. The training shouldn't interfere with traffic flow but you may see numerous fire apparatus and personnel at the building.
