@ContrabandsM@adamrocketblack Thanks for the reply. I'll certainly look into Mason for additional context.
I've generally come across the word racialized when referring to people, not situations, to be more fetishist.
@adamrocketblack@ContrabandsM I think he means white women who predominantly grew up and lived in white areas and never experienced diversity.
Bit confused myself on that word choice.
@JCannyE@AgileAnarchy@TheOtherMandela I figured they were just referring to the current Lt. Gov. He had 6yrs to fix some things in WI, but is instead promising the country things he couldn't manage in his home city and state.
Whatever your political leanings, this guy is just another politician.
@NUMBCat9 @TheOtherMandela Any politicians voted in this November won't be sworn in until Jan. '23, so...
For info on stance/issues, you can watch the debate from Sunday on the TMJ4 Facebook page. You can try their website, but it wasn't working Sunday. Hopefully they got that fixed.
@ThomasPomeroy7 Roe exists. It's caselaw. Overturned doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Just as past mistakes & wrongdoings don't cease to exist just because someone forgave you.
You're correct they shouldn't claim to want to codify Roe. They want to codify Casey.
@MPWR2@TheOtherMandela Agreed on the importance of policy positions.
Primary debate is 7/17. Senatorial debate 10/13.
If you're a Wisconsin voter, I hope you watch both.
@TheOtherMandela@AFT_Local_212 You obviously value education. What's your stance on licensing and degree requirements post apprenticeships or tech/occupational/vocation based education?
@ThomasPomeroy7 Welcome. The myvote.wi site also has a tool called "what's on my ballot?"
It'll tell you if there are any local elections (municipal judges, village clerks, school board, etc) or referendums in your area.
Very helpful for community issues.
@ThomasPomeroy7 Primary voting day is Aug 9. The senate primary debate is July 17. You can get the full list of (10 total) candidates here:

@jackiebryson60 Do you know the bill number? I'm trying to find it, as I haven't heard anything about it, but all I'm seeing from the last week or so is a couple covid related bills regarding armed service members.
Thanks in advance.
@georgiaboy2020 Been reading up on it lately, and it seems the biggest issues were indeed unsafe conditions, but I was surprised to find con-artists were a major problem.
Some of the history of 'Madame Restell' (aka Ann Lohman) reads like a crime mystery.
@BernieFiggis Yes, that's the crux of the pro-life disagreement. For serious physical health issues, few, if any, have issue with this post-viability exception. But there's been some hyperbole surrounding poverty and mental health in the past, which leads to fear-mongering.
@Cid_Vivar @SnitchCrumby @benshapiro Informing students about the life of a historic poet who was abused as a child and had a difficult life isn't CRT.
Virginia Woolfe and Emily Dickinson were also abused. Many historical authors had tragic childhoods and/or lives.
That's just interdisciplinary studies.
