With a son, you have to admit women can be the villains too. Women can lie. Women can abuse. Women can manipulate. Women can destroy a man's life and walk away clean.

A daughter lets you keep the fantasy alive. A son forces you to see reality - that pain, cruelty, and evil don't have a gender.

That's why they don't want a son. Because you can't preach "all men are the problem" while raising a little boy who you love more than your ideology. That's it.
