Don't know how people can defend a big corporation. That's the reason we're paying for Streaming services with ads and people think Video Game companies like PlayStation and Xbox arent trying to go that route like they're somehow different.

PlayStation would have more control over your games when it's all digital. They could patch in ads with each update if you can't play offline.

@KeezTheFlex they're not going to force you, they're going to sneak it in and hope you don't notice. Like when you buy a digital movie it's not actually a download, you bought a license to stream it.

@JermarBates4K60 On PC you can play RDR2 at 4k 60fps while PS5 still stuck with the PS4 port until R* decides to remaster it which could be never or if they do they're going to charge you $60 for it again.

@JermarBates4K60 You don't have it straight. One of the benefits consoles had was the physical library, if that goes away the PlayStation now has to compete with other devices that only offer digital. The perk with PC is when you buy a game you don't have to buy a Remaster every couple years.

@LazyTechGamer Mostly new, you can often find a new copy cheaper than what GameStop is selling used. I don't trade in my games mostly because I already got them at a decent price and trade in value GameStop is asking for isn't worth it.

@shinhoroko I think the last 2 years were better managed but this year was actually kind of terrible with the construction and exhibitors getting spread into artist ally and entertainment hall making those areas more cramped.

@StarWhovian They've done this before. After their last E3 didn't go so well, they stayed quite and just stopped doing E3 the following years. Imagine if they left twitter.

@F_DaVid_A @Kemm_27 This is not one of those thing that people will easily forget. Microsoft is still struggling with E3 2013 backlash. Something worse has to happen to overshadow this. Xbox could say they're ending disc production too and Sony would get the heat for starting the trend.

Just on a PR and Marketing standpoint for Sony, They going to have a hard time actually getting people excited for the brand when it comes time to promote a PS6 or any first party game. Basically like Twitch Chat during a State of Play but everyone all the time and everywhere.

@ZhugeEX just reminded me that I lost my first steam account from 20 years ago when I was a kid because I forgot my email and password. This was around 2007 so all I lost was Half Life 1 and CS 1.6 but I get so nervous anytime I have to relog in now.

What different about PlayStation announcing they're ending physical disc production and E3 2006/2013 is they're giving people a 2 year head start to decide to not buy a PS6.
