What does Ukraine need from Europe right now? 🇺🇦
At our European Defense Roundtable in Ditchley Park, Ukraine's former Foreign Minister @DmytroKuleba had a clear message: a stronger defense industry and fairer burden-sharing.
This Tuesday, our European Defense Townhall series made its 3️⃣rd stop at @BlavatnikSchool.
Together with the audience, our panelists engaged in an open and frank debate on European security and defense. Here are the key takeaways 👇
4️⃣ Europe must address its weaknesses: gaps in military capability, tech dependence, & crumbling trust within NATO.
@HenryJFoy especially highlighted the role of trust within alliances.
1️⃣ European defense needs strong public awareness and a clear narrative to create the political mandate for deeper integration, not just higher spending.
MSC Vice-Chair and CEO @FrankeBenedikt particularly highlighted the importance of our Townhall formats.
In light of current cross-border security challenges, the MSC has launched a European Defense Roundtable Series that brings together leaders from politics, military, industry, and civil society to strengthen cooperation across the E5.
