Thank you so much @hack_theatre for this thoughtful Q&A! What a delight to start the week with you and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share my perspective.
Please check out my work and the other 5 brilliant artists of #UNMUTE! So proud to be part of it ๐
Thank you so much @MurdockMusings for today's final #UNMUTE Q&A, it was great to chat with you!
#ICYMI: Don't miss Christina Murdock in conversation with HACK about mindfulness, creativity under #lockdown & her inspiring monologue based on @AniPemaChodron's work
Tune in now!๐
We couldn't agree more.
This is such a great point, and the intersection between community and giving links nicely towards the '5 ways of wellbeing', and @theKokoBrown's point around 'finding your tribe'!
Such a great answer to round off today's #UNMUTE Q&A!
My tip is to build and support your community-with your loved ones, in your neighborhood, in your country, in our world. We are all being called in the biggest ways to contribute and be #nonsibi - not for oneself. The needs are so great right now so to give wherewhen you can(2/2)
Lastly @MurdockMusings: Have there been any campaigns or initiatives lately that you would recommend emerging creatives get involved with? Or any other tips?

I'm getting this time by being inspired of course by @Lin_Manuel's #Hamilton and especially #BLM and #Pollen playlists on @Spotify given our current events in the US. My go-to for grounding and opening my heart (which is called for daily!) is @indiaarie and @heathermaemusic
Next up- @MurdockMusings: Your #UNMUTE monologue was also part inspired by a playlist which features some great artists- inc Mariah Carey, HAIM and Florence and the Machine (link below)
Are there any other musicians who have inspired your work?

But yes, I still stand by the sentiment that if we sacrifice our health for 'productivity' then often there's a big price to pay. I personally strive for #success that is when health and productivity are balanced and positively symbiotic.(2/2)
Next up - @MurdockMusings: When you chatted with us for #UNMUTE, you made a lot of really valid points about wellbeing, that the point of the #lockdown being to stay healthy, not to be productive.
Do you think this sentiment has really hit home in the arts & people you know?
Haha oh so many! Music is my ally, instigator, co-conspirator, and bestie in my work. A song captures such essence of moments and layers of experience. I make a playlist for every writing I do. I'm inspired and enjoy just about every type of music! My list is very long...

Oh yes #WhenThingsFallApart is, as @onbeing#kristatippet says, the 'break glass when in emergency' book for myself andso many others. It got me through a dark time a year ago and certainly has helped me get through the past 4 months. It's an honour to adapt it for this monologue
Next up- @MurdockMusings: Your amazing monologue 'From Inside the Chrysalis' is based on @AniPemaChodron's 'When Things Fall Apart'.
Has Pema Chรถdrรถn's work inspired you in anything else that you've done, either creatively or otherwise?

Haha well I said that almost two months ago now and I think now we might be in a different position. Part of it still rings true but also, some of us do have a bit more stability after 4 months of lockdown so our productivity can increase again. I know mine slowly has. (1/2)

(3/3) I forgot one thing! I took a class in college called #Compassion, where we studied Nelson Mandela, Ghandi, Dalai Lama, Viktor Frankl and that actually was my first introduction to eastern spirituality principles. It's been my guiding light for how to live my life ever since
@MurdockMusings Your #UNMUTE interview features quite a bit of discussion around mindfulness, and you lead the audience through a really great meditation exercise!
When did you first become involved with mindfulness, and has it been important in how you approach your art?
