It's always "$600 checks two years ago and 50-cent raises for workers are causing inflation"
and never "$3 trillion from the Fed to bail out the stock market, $1 trillion in annual corporate stock buybacks and a 1,322% rise in CEO pay since 1978 are causing inflation"
If you are filling a glass and reach the halfway point, it’s half-full. If you are emptying a glass and reach the halfway point, it’s half-empty.
No need to invoke your emotional state.
A couple of weeks ago, I got on an open mic stage for the first time in 20 years. It was really exciting to play my original music for people for the first time.
I love seeing others succeed; sub goals, record setting kick starters, buying apartments or just finding their community - I encourage people to post their wins
Life is hard. You should celebrate when things go your way. Share that little bit of light and embrace those that do
"By the way we live our daily life we contribute to peace or to war. It is mindfulness that can tell me that I am going in the direction of war and it is the energy of mindfulness that can help me to make a turn and to go in the direction of peace." - Thich Nhat Hanh

@Myrdin90 @Antyok @SaffronOlive There is something very different going from "I'm going to create a magical artifact to use in combat" and "I'm going to hit you with my car." I'm probably just getting tired of the game anyway. I've played since Ice Age and feel like the sets have only gone downhill for years.
@TolarianCollege I've been on a low carb diet for about 14 years. It definitely gets easier. Some recommendations to try: Carbonaut Bread (1g) and Miracle Noodles (0g). You can make substitutions for a lot of things to keep the carbs low.
@PleasantKenobi Tried it on a phone... Too small. A tablet works much better, but is a little awkward due to the concessions needed for phones, and I'd never build a deck on mobile in either case.
@lsv Agree. I read the full series, and, in a way, it ruined other books for me. When reading other books, I've actually had the thought, "Only 400 pages? Where's the room for character development?"
@OriginalOestrus A similar notion from Meditations by Marcus Aurelius: "We have the power to hold no opinion about a thing and to not let it upset our state of mind - for these things have no natural power to shape our judgment."
@SaffronOlive I like them too, moreso than many of the other styles they've made recently. That said, I did get a game loss in a tournament before for making a Mountain look like that (I didn't know you couldn't touch the card name, even if you trace over it with the same name).
.@JohnDiesattheEn I'm sure I'm not the only person to note this, but some of your books (as David Wong) were discussed on the Indie Spiritualist podcast with Chris Grosso.
