@AdamWTrades Took me just under a year to get my first payout, but that may have been a fluke as it took almost exactly a year to get my second. Through perseverance and discipline, plus a more hands-off approach where I’m not staring at charts all day, payouts now come regularly.
@TradersConf Discipline and good risk management alone are not enough. Are you constantly switching strategies? Or stubbornly sticking to a strategy that clearly isn’t working?
@mrfocused3 My problem is too often thinking I know better than my strategy. Sometimes it pays off, usually it doesn’t. It’s far less mentally taxing taking a loss when you’re following your system.
@Soft_pips Fun experiment, but I’m not sure what you were trying to prove. Blowing a prop account is an acceptable loss, you just buy another one. Blowing your broker account isn’t as easy to shrug off, you lost your 5K + 17,500 profit.
