Advocacy in Nursing, is it effective, are we really advocating for our patients? Are we getting involved in making good decision in patient's care? Or is advocacy in nursing a mirage?

@FolakemiIseyemi Sometimes i ask myself if i have become heartless.....when i have to smile to the next patient after doing a last office....seeing blood on a daily basis makes it look like it isnt a big deal.

I cannot hold my tears back! What we see and handle on daily basis goes beyond mere human imagination!
We are NURSES and we are humans as well, handling cases that touches the heart in tears and with smiles.
Funny but true, that some nurses don't count respirations, they just watch the rhythm or look at the baseline value.
Is respiration not as important as other vital signs or is it not important to monitor it's pattern over time?
