It's 2.30 am, August 2. I have just concluded an on- spot tour of Kabale Regional Referral Hospital. Am impressed with the work there. Health workers were on duty, the hospital is clean, all patients I randomly talked to are happy with the services. Even for services officially paid for like CT Scan, the poor are exempted. One challenge I found is that the x_ray and one of the 3 oxygen plants broke down and for one month, MoH teams have not gone to work on them. I commend Dr Allen Namutebi, the Hospital Director for the good work. Other hospitals like Mbarara RRH should go there for benchmarking.
Today, we sat down as the Kigezi Parliamentary Group to have dinner and discuss issues affecting our region, such as roads, water, bridges, schools, hospitals, PDM, & electricity. I emphasized UNITY as a starting point to serve our people. I congratulated them once again
@BiryomumaishoB@YouTube General Moses Ali served with my late uncle Nshekanabo in Idi Amin's govt as ministers...he used to tell us,that the general was always full of life. MHSRIP
From ringing the Ntare bell as a Timekeeper to serving the brotherhood through NSOBA, one principle has remained constant: service. With humility, I offer myself to serve as Chairman, NSOBA (2026–2028). United by Ntare. Driven by Service. Come vote on Friday 24-07-2026.
Humbled by the support from OBs across generations. As founding H/Master W. Crichton (RIP) observed, “There is a special, intellectual mystique in the air of Mb'ra…” That spirit of excellence and leadership will guide our journey forward.
United by Ntare. Driven by Service.
Last week, I directed the contractor to complete the maintenance works on the Namungoona–Bwaise section of the Kampala Northern Bypass by today. Monday 13th July to ease the persistent traffic congestion.
I'm pleased that the asphalt laying has now been completed as directed, and the section will reopen to traffic this morning. Road marking will follow in the coming days with minimal disruption.
Thank you to all motorists and the public for your patience and cooperation as we worked to restore smoother and safer movement on this critical corridor.
An update.
Not braggadocio, though we don’t believe government institutions should win in silence.
I took office just over three months ago.
We had no camera at the Uganda Media Centre, save for a decade-old kind donation from the Chinese.
No still cameras either.
Things are different now.
We now have the best of the best kit! And we are still adding to it.
We have a proper production arm. Photographers, video and audio editors, drone pilots, directors, producers.
For the first time we can also go live from anywhere in the country.
We have built a regional and global network that cuts across newsrooms, research, thought leadership and security.
Our ambition is to build the most efficient, responsive and effective government communications service on the continent.
Our posture?
This is not PR or marketing.
It’s nation building.
