Great privilege speaking at an International Women’s Day Dialogue hosted by @FESRwanda and bringing together Trade Unions and Feminists in Rwanda like to deliberate on workplace GBV, Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment as well as strategising on implementation of ILO Convention No. 190 and Resolution 206.

I had the opportunity to speak about the feminist analysis of gendered power relations, GBV and PSEAH; The effects of violence and harassment; Strategies for prevention, intervention and redress; and also how feminists and trade unions can synergise to ensure a safe working violent for women and girls. I also shared learnings from other countries like South Africa 🇿🇦 , Kenya 🇰🇪 , Tanzania 🇹🇿 , USA 🇺🇸 , Argentina 🇦🇷 , New Zealand 🇳🇿 and Canada 🇨🇦 where there has been successes of partnerships between the feminist movements and trade unions that have yielded fruit and ensured safe working environments, protecting women workers, addressing sexual harassment and promoting gender equality in the world of work.
