Col. @SpencerGuard civilian harm mitigation framework also does not explain why Israel destroyed 48 media facilities, banned all foreign journalists from Gaza, and killed the local journalists who remained, because an army genuinely confident in its mitigation record does not need to eliminate the people documenting it. The "no equivalency" point is correct but not in the direction intended, one side has F-35s, nuclear weapons, $17.9 billion in fresh American military aid, and Security Council veto protection. The other has rockets and tunnels. The absence of equivalency is precisely why the casualty ratio is 70,000 to 1,200 and why applying the same "intentional targeting" standard to both requires selectively forgetting which side has the satellite intelligence, the drone surveillance, and the legal review cells that approved every single one of those strikes.
